Interview with LA Magazine on Elmo’s change of artistic style

Recent interview with Los Angeles based magazine The Hidden Some explaining Elmo’s change in style and why.

"I don't intend on painting anymore public figures if i am honest unless its a corporate job/commission. When you paint an icon a huge part of selling your work is relying on the fans of that icon to buy your work. As a result you aren't really standing on your own two feet as an artist, people aren't buying your work because you are making great art its more because they are a fan of Michael Jackson for example. I intend to push myself creatively and I can't do that if I keep painting public figures.”
